The hand-wringing brigade has a bit of a field day with these "privacy" concerns, yet in reality it's nothing more than a farce.<br /><br />Time for a rant, methinks... where's my red wine?Albion Love Denhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09849942490884181051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2540872715373058831.post-81459802560538169562009-04-15T21:09:00.000+10:002009-04-15T21:09:00.000+10:00The inherent massive time lag in Street View makes...The inherent massive time lag in Street View makes a bit of a mockery of the privacy concerns about it (particularly amongst the English who seem very hot under the collar about it being rolled out, despite their entire country already being ringed with CCTV cameras.) My favourite old Brisbane sharehouse Chateau Dodgy I (on top of the ride in St Lucia) is still alive and kicking on Street View, but the last time I drove past in late November it was a building site, being replaced with some architecturally wank-riffic yuppie palace (<A HREF="http://dryobbo.blogspot.com/2008/11/end-of-era.html" REL="nofollow">already whinged about this on the World of Bollocks</A> but still worth whinging about it again.) It does kick you in the guts a bit, having places you remembered associated with dear personal memories being wiped from the face of the earth.Dr Yobbohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10032085614743539793noreply@blogger.com
